  1. Open attendance.Click Start session in the instructor’s Canvas view. Codes rotate every 5 seconds, with a 10-second grace period after each refresh.
  2. Log into Canvas on the phone.Click Log in to Canvas using the demo student account. The phone stays in a browser throughout.
  3. Open PresenceLoop from the course.Select PresenceLoop in the Canvas course. The student is redirected to the attendance tool within Canvas, with their course and identity.
  4. Scan and confirm.Click Scan classroom QR to simulate the phone browser’s camera reading the instructor’s QR. Confirm attendance to update both the student receipt and instructor roster.
  5. Show the edge cases.Scan a QR, then rotate it. Confirm within the 10-second grace period to complete check-in, or wait until it ends to demonstrate expiry. Go back to the course and reopen PresenceLoop to show that an existing attendance record is preserved.
For a quick recording

Play walkthrough follows each action with a nearby explanation, including a live QR refresh. It resets demo attendance first. Dismiss a callout or press Escape to stop the tour. Reset demo clears the session for another take.

This is a standalone workflow simulation, not a live Canvas LTI integration. Fictional roster and attendance stay in this browser. QR validation and duplicate prevention demonstrate behavior; they are not production security controls.
